Calcium Silicon Barium

Product Profile

CaSiBa is a new type of high-efficiency composite alloy in barium-based alloys. It is a deoxidizer, desulfurizer, and dephosphorization agent in steelmaking. It is also an inoculant and modifier in steelmaking and casting. Barium effectively reduces the vapor pressure of calcium in the steelmaking temperature range and increases the solubility of calcium in the molten steel, but the same silicon is about twice that of silicon-calcium alloy. Compared with the use of SiCa, the use of CaSiBa as a calcium source is added to the molten steel. The amount of calcium added is half the amount of silicon calcium alloy.

Features:

● Refine grains, reduce segregation, uniform formation;

● Improve mechanical strength, adjust hardness, improve mechanical properties;

● Improve the matrix and graphite morphology distribution;

● Reduce the internal stress and wall thickness sensitivity of castings.

Applications

It is widely used gray iron and ductile iron parts, used for thick gray iron and ductile iron, uneven wall thickness parts, and workshops with long casting time or long transportation distance of molten iron.
