Ferro Tungsten

Product description

Ferrotungsten is an iron alloy series (tungsten content: 70%-80%).It is used as an alloy additive for steel making. Commonly used ferrotungsten includes tungsten 70% and 80%. Ferrotungsten is produced from carbon-reduced tungsten manganese ore in an electric furnace. It is mainly used as an alloying agent for tungsten alloy steel (such as high-speed steel).

Size and Package

Ferrotungsten is delivered in bulk or granular form.

Package: in 250 kg steel drums

Please note that the chemical composition, size and packaging of the above products can be customized according to customers' requirements.

Performance and Features

There are three varieties of ferrotungsten, such as W701, W702 and W65, the content of tungsten is about 65-70%. Because of its high melting point, it cannot flow out in liquid form, so it is produced by agglomeration or iron extraction.

Applications

Ferrotungsten is commonly used in lathe tools, impact drill bits, glass cutter bits, and ceramic tile cutters. It is hard and not afraid of annealing, but is brittle. It belongs to the list of rare metals.

Cemented carbide has a series of excellent properties such as high hardness, wear resistance, good strength and toughness, heat resistance and corrosion resistance.
