Performance and Features

Cast:
●   It can nucleate in a wide temperature range, has a ability of strong spheroidizing and anti-recession. It also can effectively prevent the casting chill tendency.
●   The deoxidation effect is relatively thorough, better than other deoxidation alloy, and the added amount is 35-50% of 75 ferrosilicon.

Steelmaking:
●   When the FeSiBa alloy containing 10-35% barium is used for deoxidizing steelmaking, the utilization rate is high, the desulfurization ability is strong, which is superior to the silicon calcium alloy.
●   Putting the right amount of silicon-barium alloy can improve the ductility and toughness at high and low temperatures. FeSiBa alloy is most effective for improving the cold resistance of steel.

Applications

It is widely used in steelmaking, cast steel and foundry industry to improve the quality of casting. It is an efficient and long-acting deoxidizer. It also has the effect of dephosphorization and desulphurization. It is especially suitable for casting of large thin-walled parts, uneven-walled parts, thin and rapid cooling.

FeSiBa Inoculant

Product Profile

FeSiBa inoculant is a massive metallurgical material obtained by blending silicon powder and barium powder in proportion to the demand and then making steel through a high-temperature furnace. It is an additive in the foundry casting process, which can promote graphitization, reduce chill tendency, improve graphite morphology and distribution, increase the number of eutectic cell, and refine the characteristics of the matrix structure. It has a good effect in a short time (about 5-8 minutes) after inoculation treatment.

Performance and Features

●   It can strongly increase the graphitization core, refine the graphite, and promote the A-type graphite in the gray iron castings to improve the strength. For the ductile iron castings, the graphite in the ductile iron can be made fine, round and improve the spheroidizing grade.
●   It can effectively reduce the supercooling degree of molten iron, promote the precipitation of graphite, significantly reduce the chilling tendency, reduce the relative hardness, and improve the cutting performance of castings.
●  The anti-recession ability is strong, the anti-recession time is twice that of 75 silicon, and the amount of barium silicon inoculant added is less than half of the 75 ferrosilicon inoculant, while preventing the associated spheroidization recession.
●   The wall thickness is less sensitive, improves the uniformity of the cross section, and reduces the tendency to shrink.
●   Stable chemical composition, uniform processing particle size, small deviation of composition and quality.

Applications

1.FeSiBa inoculant is widely used in metallurgy, machinery industry, as additives for iron, steel and non-ferrous metals and alloys, in order to improve the mechanical properties and application effects of the material. It can also reduce high manganese slag, change mechanical properties, and refine grains.

2.FeSiBa inoculant is mainly used in liquid iron, ductile iron and gray cast iron. In the cast iron industry, silicon barium inoculant has outstanding applications. It can also increase graphite core, and promote the type of graphite gray cast iron parts, improve the strength.
